We all have memories of childhood Christmases, when we’d hurry to bed on Christmas Eve, too excited to sleep, listening out for the sound of reindeers hoofs on the roof and the bellowing ‘ho, ho, ho’ that would herald Santa’s arrival. Christmas back then was a wondrous time. When magical things happened and dreams really did come true.
Now, you can recapture those same feelings of anticipation, excitement and sheer wonder on a truly magical escape. Spend Christmas in Lapland, the home of Santa, and let that magical childhood feeling embrace you this season. You’ll spend two nights at the World Famous Ice Hotel, where you are awakened in the morning with a cup of hot lingonberry juice at your bedside, before enjoying a breakfast buffet and a morning sauna, if you should choose. You will then spend four nights in Rovaniemi, the home of Christmas, enjoying traditional feasts on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Then, on Boxing Day, it’s off to Santa’s village in the Arctic Circle.
